Gible

Gible (Pokédex #0443) is a Dragon/Ground-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 4. It is officially classified as the Land Shark Pokémon. It nests in small, horizontal holes in cave walls. It pounces to catch prey that stray too close.

As a Dragon/Ground-type POKEMON, Gible has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Ice — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Dragon, Fairy moves. Conversely, Gible is completely immune to Electric — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Fire, Poison, Rock moves, taking only half damage from them.

Gible's battle stats: Base Stat Total of 300 (moderate). Full distribution: HP 58 · ATK 70 · DEF 45 · SP.ATK 40 · SP.DEF 45 · SPD 42. Its standout stat is ATK (70), which makes it best suited for physical offense roles. Its abilities are Sand veil, Rough skin, with Rough skin as its hidden ability.

Gible stands 0.7 m (28") tall and weighs 20.5 kg (45.2 lbs). Capture rate: 45/255 (difficult to catch). Use Ultra Balls with a status condition (Sleep or Paralysis) for the best results. Growth rate: Slow. Egg groups: Monster, Dragon.

Gible is part of the Gible → Gabite → Garchomp evolution line (3-stage). Gible is the base form and can evolve into Gabite via Level 24.
