Gabite

Gabite (Pokédex #0444) is a Dragon/Ground-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 4. It is officially classified as the Cave Pokémon. There is a long-held belief that medicine made from its scales will heal even incurable illnesses.

As a Dragon/Ground-type POKEMON, Gabite has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Ice — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Dragon, Fairy moves. Conversely, Gabite is completely immune to Electric — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Fire, Poison, Rock moves, taking only half damage from them.

Gabite's battle stats: Base Stat Total of 410 (solid). Full distribution: HP 68 · ATK 90 · DEF 65 · SP.ATK 50 · SP.DEF 55 · SPD 82. Its standout stat is ATK (90), which makes it best suited for physical offense roles. Its abilities are Sand veil, Rough skin, with Rough skin as its hidden ability.

Gabite stands 1.4 m (55") tall and weighs 56.0 kg (123.5 lbs). Capture rate: 45/255 (difficult to catch). Use Ultra Balls with a status condition (Sleep or Paralysis) for the best results. Growth rate: Slow. Egg groups: Monster, Dragon.
