Garchomp (Pokédex #0445) is a Dragon/Ground-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 4. It is officially classified as the Mach Pokémon. When it folds up its body and extends its wings, it looks like a jet plane. It flies at sonic speed.
As a Dragon/Ground-type POKEMON, Garchomp has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Ice — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Dragon, Fairy moves. Conversely, Garchomp is completely immune to Electric — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Fire, Poison, Rock moves, taking only half damage from them.
