Meltan (Pokédex #0808) is a Steel-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 7. It is officially classified as the Hex Nut Pokémon. It dissolves and eats metal. Circulating liquid metal within its body is how it generates energy.

As a Steel-type POKEMON, Meltan has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Fire, Fighting, Ground moves. Conversely, Meltan is completely immune to Poison — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Normal, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Steel, Fairy moves, taking only half damage from them.
