Melmetal (Pokédex #0809) is a Steel-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 7. It is officially classified as the Hex Nut Pokémon. Revered long ago for its capacity to create iron from nothing, for some reason it has come back to life after 3,000 years.
As a Steel-type POKEMON, Melmetal has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Fire, Fighting, Ground moves. Conversely, Melmetal is completely immune to Poison — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Normal, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Steel, Fairy moves, taking only half damage from them.
