Meltan

Meltan (Pokédex #0808) is a Steel-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 7. It is officially classified as the Hex Nut Pokémon. It melts particles of iron and other metals found in the subsoil, so it can absorb them into its body of molten steel.

As a Steel-type POKEMON, Meltan has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Fire, Fighting, Ground moves. Conversely, Meltan is completely immune to Poison — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Normal, Grass, Ice, Flying, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Steel, Fairy moves, taking only half damage from them.

Meltan's battle stats: Base Stat Total of 300 (moderate). Full distribution: HP 46 · ATK 65 · DEF 65 · SP.ATK 55 · SP.DEF 35 · SPD 34. Its standout stat is ATK (65), which makes it best suited for physical offense roles. Its abilities are Magnet pull.

Meltan stands 0.2 m (8") tall and weighs 8.0 kg (17.6 lbs). Capture rate: 3/255 (extremely difficult to catch). Use Ultra Balls with a status condition (Sleep or Paralysis) for the best results. Growth rate: Slow. Egg groups: No Eggs. Meltan is a Mythical POKEMON — typically only available through special event distributions.
