As a Rock/Ground-type POKEMON, Larvitar has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Water and Grass — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Ice, Fighting, Ground, Steel moves.
