Pupitar (Pokédex #0247) is a Rock/Ground-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 2. It is officially classified as the Hard Shell Pokémon. Its shell is as hard as sheet rock, and it is also very strong. Its THRASHING can topple a mountain.

As a Rock/Ground-type POKEMON, Pupitar has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Water and Grass — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Ice, Fighting, Ground, Steel moves. Conversely, Pupitar is completely immune to Electric — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Normal, Fire, Flying, Rock moves, taking only half damage from them.
