Tyranitar (Pokédex #0248) is a Rock/Dark-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 2. It is officially classified as the Armor Pokémon. Its body can't be harmed by any sort of attack, so it is very eager to make challenges against enemies.
As a Rock/Dark-type POKEMON, Tyranitar has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Fighting — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Water, Grass, Ground, Bug, Steel, Fairy moves. Conversely, Tyranitar is completely immune to Psychic — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Normal, Fire, Poison, Flying, Ghost, Dark moves, taking only half damage from them.
