Elekid (Pokédex #0239) is a Electric-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 2. It is officially classified as the Electric Pokémon. It rotates its arms to generate electricity, but it tires easily, so it charges up only a little bit.

As a Electric-type POKEMON, Elekid has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Ground moves. It resists Electric, Flying, Steel moves, taking only half damage from them.

Elekid is part of the Elekid → Electabuzz → Electivire evolution line (3-stage). Elekid is the base form and can evolve into Electabuzz via Level 30.
