Wo Chien (Pokédex #1001) is a Dark/Grass-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 9. It is officially classified as the Ruinous Pokémon. The grudge of a person punished for writing the king’s evil deeds upon wooden tablets has clad itself in dead leaves to become a Pokémon.

As a Dark/Grass-type POKEMON, Wo Chien has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Bug — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Fire, Ice, Fighting, Poison, Flying, Fairy moves. Conversely, Wo Chien is completely immune to Psychic — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Water, Electric, Grass, Ground, Ghost, Dark moves, taking only half damage from them.
