As a Bug/Flying-type POKEMON, Vivillon has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Rock — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Fire, Electric, Ice, Flying moves. Conversely, Vivillon is completely immune to Ground — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Bug moves, taking only half damage from them.
