Tepig

Tepig (Pokédex #0498) is a Fire-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 5. It is officially classified as the Fire Pig Pokémon. It can deftly dodge its foe’s attacks while shooting fireballs from its nose. It roasts berries before it eats them.

As a Fire-type POKEMON, Tepig has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Water, Ground, Rock moves. It resists Fire, Grass, Ice, Bug, Steel, Fairy moves, taking only half damage from them.

Tepig's battle stats: Base Stat Total of 308 (moderate). Full distribution: HP 65 · ATK 63 · DEF 45 · SP.ATK 45 · SP.DEF 45 · SPD 45. Its standout stat is HP (65), which makes it best suited for bulk and endurance roles. Its abilities are Blaze, Thick fat, with Thick fat as its hidden ability.

Tepig stands 0.5 m (20") tall and weighs 9.9 kg (21.8 lbs). Capture rate: 45/255 (difficult to catch). Use Ultra Balls with a status condition (Sleep or Paralysis) for the best results. Growth rate: Medium Slow. Egg groups: Ground.

Tepig is part of the Tepig → Pignite → Emboar evolution line (3-stage). Tepig is the base form and can evolve into Pignite via Level 17.
