Nincada

Nincada (Pokédex #0290) is a Bug/Ground-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 3. It is officially classified as the Trainee Pokémon. NINCADA lives underground for many years in complete darkness. This POKéMON absorbs nutrients from the roots of trees. It stays motionless as it waits for evolution.

As a Bug/Ground-type POKEMON, Nincada has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Fire, Water, Ice, Flying moves. Conversely, Nincada is completely immune to Electric — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Fighting, Poison, Ground moves, taking only half damage from them.

Nincada is part of the Nincada → Ninjask → Shedinja evolution line (3-stage). Nincada is the base form and can evolve into Ninjask via Level 20.
