Accelgor (Pokédex #0617) is a Bug-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 5. It is officially classified as the Shell Out Pokémon. When its body dries out, it weakens. So, to prevent dehydration, it wraps itself in many layers of thin membrane.
As a Bug-type POKEMON, Accelgor has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Fire, Flying, Rock moves. It resists Grass, Fighting, Ground moves, taking only half damage from them.
