Volcarona (Pokédex #0637) is a Bug/Fire-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 5. It is officially classified as the Sun Pokémon. When volcanic ash darkened the atmosphere, it is said that Volcarona’s fire provided a replacement for the sun.
As a Bug/Fire-type POKEMON, Volcarona has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Rock — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Water, Flying moves. It resists Ice, Fighting, Bug, Steel, Fairy moves, taking only half damage from them.
