Archen

Archen (Pokédex #0566) is a Rock/Flying-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 5. It is officially classified as the First Bird Pokémon. Said to be an ancestor of bird Pokémon, they were unable to fly and moved about by hopping from one branch to another.

As a Rock/Flying-type POKEMON, Archen has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Water, Electric, Ice, Rock, Steel moves. Conversely, Archen is completely immune to Ground — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Normal, Fire, Poison, Flying, Bug moves, taking only half damage from them.

Archen is part of the Archen → Archeops evolution line (2-stage). Archen is the base form and can evolve into Archeops via Level 37.
