Silcoon (Pokédex #0266) is a Bug-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 3. It is officially classified as the Cocoon Pokémon. SILCOON tethers itself to a tree branch using silk to keep from falling. There, this POKéMON hangs quietly while it awaits evolution. It peers out of the silk cocoon through a small hole.

As a Bug-type POKEMON, Silcoon has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Fire, Flying, Rock moves. It resists Grass, Fighting, Ground moves, taking only half damage from them.
