Wurmple

Wurmple (Pokédex #0265) is a Bug-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 3. It is officially classified as the Worm Pokémon. Using the spikes on its rear end, WURMPLE peels the bark off trees and feeds on the sap that oozes out. This POKéMON’s feet are tipped with suction pads that allow it to cling to glass without slipping.

As a Bug-type POKEMON, Wurmple has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Fire, Flying, Rock moves. It resists Grass, Fighting, Ground moves, taking only half damage from them.

Wurmple's battle stats: Base Stat Total of 195 (moderate). Full distribution: HP 45 · ATK 45 · DEF 35 · SP.ATK 20 · SP.DEF 30 · SPD 20. Its standout stat is HP (45), which makes it best suited for bulk and endurance roles. Its abilities are Shield dust, Run away, with Run away as its hidden ability.

Wurmple is part of the Wurmple → Silcoon → Beautifly → Cascoon → Dustox evolution line (5-stage). Wurmple is the base form and can evolve into Silcoon via Level 7.
