As a Ghost/Poison-type POKEMON, Gengar has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Ground, Psychic, Ghost, Dark moves. Conversely, Gengar is completely immune to Normal and Fighting — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Grass, Fairy moves, taking only half damage from them.
