Chewtle

Chewtle (Pokédex #0833) is a Water-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 8. It is officially classified as the Snapping Pokémon. Apparently the itch of its teething impels it to snap its jaws at anything in front of it.

As a Water-type POKEMON, Chewtle has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Electric, Grass moves. It resists Fire, Water, Ice, Steel moves, taking only half damage from them.

Chewtle's battle stats: Base Stat Total of 284 (moderate). Full distribution: HP 50 · ATK 64 · DEF 50 · SP.ATK 38 · SP.DEF 38 · SPD 44. Its standout stat is ATK (64), which makes it best suited for physical offense roles. Its abilities are Strong jaw, Shell armor, Swift swim, with Swift swim as its hidden ability.

Chewtle is part of the Chewtle → Drednaw evolution line (2-stage). Chewtle is the base form and can evolve into Drednaw via Level 22.
