Ferroseed (Pokédex #0597) is a Grass/Steel-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 5. It is officially classified as the Thorn Seed Pokémon. When threatened, it attacks by shooting a barrage of spikes, which gives it a chance to escape by rolling away.
As a Grass/Steel-type POKEMON, Ferroseed has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Fire — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Fighting moves. Conversely, Ferroseed is completely immune to Poison — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Normal, Water, Electric, Psychic, Rock, Dragon, Steel, Fairy moves, taking only half damage from them.
