Shieldon (Pokédex #0410) is a Rock/Steel-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 4. It is officially classified as the Shield Pokémon. A Pokémon that lived in jungles around 100 million years ago. Its facial hide is extremely hard.
As a Rock/Steel-type POKEMON, Shieldon has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Fighting and Ground — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Water moves. Conversely, Shieldon is completely immune to Poison — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Ice, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Fairy moves, taking only half damage from them.

Shieldon stands 0.5 m (20") tall and weighs 57.0 kg (125.7 lbs). Capture rate: 45/255 (difficult to catch). Use Ultra Balls with a status condition (Sleep or Paralysis) for the best results. Growth rate: Slow Then Very Fast. Egg groups: Monster.
Shieldon is part of the Shieldon → Bastiodon evolution line (2-stage). Shieldon is the base form and can evolve into Bastiodon via Level 30.
