Piplup

Piplup (Pokédex #0393) is a Water-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 4. It is officially classified as the Penguin Pokémon. Because it is very proud, it hates accepting food from people. Its thick down guards it from cold.

As a Water-type POKEMON, Piplup has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It takes double damage from Electric, Grass moves. It resists Fire, Water, Ice, Steel moves, taking only half damage from them.

Piplup is part of the Piplup → Prinplup → Empoleon evolution line (3-stage). Piplup is the base form and can evolve into Prinplup via Level 16.
