Lairon (Pokédex #0305) is a Steel/Rock-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 3. It is officially classified as the Iron Armor Pokémon. LAIRON tempers its steel body by drinking highly nutritious mineral springwater until it is bloated. This POKéMON makes its nest close to springs of delicious water.
As a Steel/Rock-type POKEMON, Lairon has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Fighting and Ground — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Water moves. Conversely, Lairon is completely immune to Poison — these moves deal zero damage regardless of power. It resists Ice, Psychic, Bug, Rock, Dragon, Fairy moves, taking only half damage from them.
