Kabuto (Pokédex #0140) is a Rock/Water-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 1. It is officially classified as the Shellfish Pokémon. A POKéMON that was resurrected from a fossil found in what was once the ocean floor eons ago.
As a Rock/Water-type POKEMON, Kabuto has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Grass — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Electric, Fighting, Ground moves. It resists Normal, Ice, Poison, Flying moves, taking only half damage from them.

Kabuto is part of the Kabuto → Kabutops evolution line (2-stage). Kabuto is the base form and can evolve into Kabutops via Level 40.
