Kabuto

Kabuto (Pokédex #0140) is a Rock/Water-type POKEMON first introduced in Generation 1. It is officially classified as the Shellfish Pokémon. A POKéMON that was resurrected from a fossil found in what was once the ocean floor eons ago.

As a Rock/Water-type POKEMON, Kabuto has a specific set of type matchups that trainers must account for. It has a 4× weakness to Grass — these moves deal quadruple damage and should always be avoided in battle. It takes double damage from Electric, Fighting, Ground moves. It resists Normal, Ice, Poison, Flying moves, taking only half damage from them.

Kabuto's battle stats: Base Stat Total of 355 (moderate). Full distribution: HP 30 · ATK 80 · DEF 90 · SP.ATK 55 · SP.DEF 45 · SPD 55. Its standout stat is DEF (90), which makes it best suited for physical defense roles. Its abilities are Swift swim, Battle armor, Weak armor, with Weak armor as its hidden ability.

Kabuto stands 0.5 m (20") tall and weighs 11.5 kg (25.4 lbs). It is typically found in Sea environments. Capture rate: 45/255 (difficult to catch). Use Ultra Balls with a status condition (Sleep or Paralysis) for the best results. Growth rate: Medium. Egg groups: Water1, Water3.

Kabuto is part of the Kabuto → Kabutops evolution line (2-stage). Kabuto is the base form and can evolve into Kabutops via Level 40.
